Director's Message

Are you hesitant about sending your child to a school that is not capable of meeting your child’s individual learning style? Do you worry that your child will be lost in the shuffle when sitting in a classroom with more than 30 students? Guess what, you are not alone. Parents at the East Valley Jewish Day School have the same worries and decided to enroll their children in a school that could give each student the one-on-one attention they deserve.

The dedicated staff and board of the EVJDS made a commitment to keep our classes small enough so that teachers can provide students with individualized curriculum that is tailored to their specific needs. Students are assessed in all subject areas in the first week of school. Their own curriculum is then created not only to meet the Arizona State Standards, but allows them to progress beyond these set standards. If a child shows the capability and desire to move forward to a more challenging level, the teachers have the time and skills to make this a reality. It is our job to make sure no child is bored or unchallenged. We have been given the opportunity to help each student find a life long love of learning and we take this very seriously. This commitment is why 97% of our students continuously exceed on the AIMS Test.

We know that in the upcoming weeks, your family will be making a decision on where to begin your child’s academic career.   Please take a moment, stop by our classrooms and meet our staff, students and parents. You will see and hear first hand why the EVJDS was the right choice for so many. We want nothing more than to expand our Day School family and welcome you and your child into an environment that fosters uniqueness and curiosity. You can take comfort in the knowledge that when you make the decision to send your child to the EVJDS, everything you need is right here.

Sincerely,
