Enrollment Letter for the 2011-2012 school year
Dear Parents,
I am writing you because it is time to begin enrollment for the 2011-2012 school year. It is very important for us to start to plan for the next school year as early as possible in order to provide our students with a top notch program.
The EVJDS Board of Trustees has made the decision that tuition will remain the same for 2011-2012 (no tuition hikes). They believe, as do I, that in these economic times, it is important to keep our student enrollment strong and by freezing tuition, it will help our families plan for the upcoming year.
I would like to take a moment to remind everyone what makes the EVJDS so special. Our school’s guiding mission welcomes all families. Our parents have embraced this and found our school to be incredibly warm, inviting, and caring. We appreciate what each family brings to our community.
At the EVJDS, we look at the whole child. The social and emotional development of a student is equally as important as the academic development. Without confidence and a strong identity, it is difficult for a child to flourish. We know we are teaching at a high level here and it is evidenced by our assessments each year in our AIMS scores. In high school, our graduates become leaders and continue to come back to report how much they owe their successes to the EVJDS Program and dedication of the staff.
Your children will grow up soon enough and our teachers and I hope you will allow them to have the time and space to develop and thrive without stress. Learning is a process and not a race. Our students achieve at high levels and we know process is part of “best practices” in education.
The EVJDS Board of Trustees, the leadership, and faculty take our jobs with the utmost seriousness. We have assembled an outstanding team here to help your children. You are welcome to speak to us at any time regarding our curriculum and to learn more about what your child is doing. I would be delighted to meet with you.
The winter is one of my favorite times of the year, not just because of the food, but because it is a time of year I step back and reflect on the many blessings in my life. Your children are one of my blessings! Have a wonderful rest of Hanukkah.
Warm regards,
Emily Zappa
